Well, the entrance track to our holiday cottages did have some daffodils. Not a bad effort for the first year we think. We ‘built’ the new road in 2010, straight through the middle of the existing woodland that we planted in 1998, the first year we were at Holestone Moor. It’s lovely to be able to drive straight through the middle of the woodland, and to see the trees as they come into leaf and flower.
Sadly, none of the frog spawn survived. Although frog spawn was laid in all of the 3 ponds we have here at Holestone Moor Barns holiday cottages, it seems that the cold weather we had at the start of March, must have killed it all off.
